Sensitive eyewear information Specs On Site uses prescription, pupillary-distance, measurement, and consultation information only to provide requested eyewear services, fulfill orders, support customers, maintain appropriate records, protect against fraud, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use this information for targeted advertising or sell it for money.

Please submit only the information requested for the applicable service. Do not send unrelated medical records, Social Security numbers, or highly sensitive information through ordinary email or website fields. If a more secure upload method is provided, use that method for prescription documents.

Specs On Site is an eyewear guidance and retail service. Unless expressly stated for a separately identified licensed service, submitting information to SOS does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

8. Payment Information

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Those providers collect payment-card and related billing information under their own privacy and security practices. Where required by applicable law, we will recognize supported opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control.

Advertising trackers should not be placed on prescription-upload, detailed intake, checkout, or logged-in account pages where they could receive sensitive eyewear or transaction information.

We may send transactional communications about orders, appointments, consultations, memberships, prescription requests, account activity, security, and customer support. These messages are necessary to provide requested Services and may continue even if you opt out of marketing.

We send marketing emails or text messages when permitted by law and, where required, after obtaining appropriate consent. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchasing eyewear or receiving a service. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. You may opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Opt-out requests may take a short time to process. We may send a final confirmation that the request was received and may retain a suppression record to prevent future unwanted marketing messages.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, provide Services, maintain transaction and membership records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the relationship, legal requirements, risk, and operational need. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to lawful backup and recordkeeping requirements.

12. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, authentication, service-provider review, secure payment processing, encrypted transmission where appropriate, employee or contractor access limits, and incident-response measures.

No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. If a security incident requires notice under applicable law, we will provide notice as required.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment services, scheduling platforms, video-conferencing services, shipping carriers, social networks, or other tools.
